Set in the wake of the devastating 2010 earthquake in Haiti, the play follows the emotional journey of a Haitian immigrant navigating life in the U.S. under the looming threat of losing Temporary Protected Status (TPS). As Simone wrestles with the decision to risk returning to a homeland still in crisis or to remain in a country where she is not fully welcomed, her story becomes a powerful meditation on survival, belonging, and the politics of migration. Through poetic monologue and storytelling, Simone gives voice to the struggles of displacement and resilience.
